Read the story ↓After loss, a grieving swan was offered the possibility of companionship — without expectations.
Read the story ↓It began with a simple choice: a walk through the forest or a gentle wander around a large pond. The pond won.
When Capella and her companions, Fred and Sherry, arrived, they noticed a red object floating near a snapping turtle, seemingly following him. After some discussion, Capella asked the turtle through her intuitive communication practice whether he needed help. She experienced a clear yes.
“No rush, just love and space.”
The water was too deep for Capella to enter safely. Rather than rushing towards the turtle, she waited and invited him to come to her, wanting him to feel in control of the encounter.
A large fishing hook and line were involved. Capella describes her approach not as being in rescue mode, but as respecting his space and offering help with something he could not manage alone.
Afterwards, she and the turtle shared what Capella describes as a vital private exchange. She thanked him for the gift of their encounter, and they parted ways.
For Capella, the moment expressed her deeper commitment to the animal kingdom — one grounded in patience, trust and respect.

When Capella met Black Knight, a swan who had lost his mate about ten days earlier, she sensed sadness. With permission from his human guardian, Capella approached him through her interspecies telepathic communication practice.
In Capella's account, Black Knight was curious that she could connect with him and acknowledge his emotions. She offered him a gentle possibility:
“How about a friend, no expectations?”
He wanted to know what would be expected of him. Capella explained that there would be no demands — his guardian could perhaps find a female companion, and they could see how it went.
When Capella understood him to express that he missed his love, she reassured him:
“I know angel, this is not to remove your grief it's just to give you a chance of not being lonely.”
Black Knight was not friends with the other swans. Capella describes him as agreeing to try the idea. A few weeks later, Lady Knight arrived.
What followed became a beautiful new chapter in Black Knight's life. As Capella put it, the rest is history.
Her story reminds us that making space for companionship does not mean forgetting a love that came before.
